The Cairngorms Campaign works for active conservation of the Cairngorms area. It aims to increase public interest and understanding of the Cairngorms, and care for their character, beauty and ecology. It aims to protect and enhance their biodiversity, environment and sustainable human use.
The campaign is challenging the CNPA local plan in the Scottish Court of Session.
The local plan includes proposals for several exessive housing developments, including a "New Town" on a green field site by the river spey opposaite Avimore. This legal action is expensive and we are trying to raise £50,000 to help with legal costs to continue the preservation of the Cairngorms.
